Sony Sugar FC: Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno has unfinished business at Sony Sugar and wants to do well for them.
The former Harambee Stars coach arrives back at the Awendo club six
months after quitting his role as head coach at the club for personal
reasons.
He will replace Sammy Omollo, who leaves the millers struggling in
the Kenyan Premier League, only three points above the relegation zone.
Otineo admits that lifting the club to a respectable position will be
tough, but a must for a club of Sony’s status.
“Sony Sugar is a big club and big clubs do not deserve to be in the position they are currently in,” said Otieno.
“It is not an easy job to lift the club from the current position,
but it has to be done by someone. The league is very tight and climbing
up is an issue on its own, but we will aim to do our very best and
finish the season well. There are plenty of games left to make an
impression and I will strive to do that.”
Otieno was head coach of Division One side Mahakama in the first leg of the season.
